East Hartford is preparing itself for the future. As Mayor Mike Walsh stated, we are "putting the shine back in East Hartford." In doing so, East Hartford understands the importance of investing in an aesthetically vibrant community. The town has partnered with nonprofit, RiseUP for Arts, to launch East Hartford Murals, a public/private partnership to create inclusive and accessible public art across the community. The partnership launched in 2022 with great success and an incredible pipeline of projects are in the works for 2023.
This partnership wouldn't be possible without the demonstrated commitment from community members and businesses in East Hartford. Over 120 individuals, businesses, and organizations donated to the first two East Hartford Murals' public art installations.
