HARTFORD, CT- RiseUP for Arts/CT Murals is excited to unveil our latest massive mural in Hartford, CT, "Stargazers" by Corey Pane. The mural along Asylum Street on a 100+ foot wall stretching up the I-84 on-ramp. Special thanks to the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation for funding this mural project.
The project is the vision of Corey Pane and includes murals within the mural from artist Andre Rochester and other. The mural also features poems and artwork from youth as young as 18 months old. The poems were collected through the Hartford based organization, Poetry on the Streets.
RiseUP Executive Director states, “This project is a true testament to the power that public art has to bring together an entire city for a positive purpose. This project has been 2-years in the making and has been a great collaboration between the arts community, youth from Hartford, Dept of Transportation, City of Hartford, Robert’s Foundation, and RiseUP. We look forward to this mural inspiring generations for decades.”
