OUR FIRST MURAL:
"BLAZE YOUR OWN TRAIL"
Since January 2021, our team of artists have been meeting via Zoom to discuss and explore mural making methods, collaboration, materials and styles, messaging, community, and place-making. The group has had visits from working artists who shared their journeys and practices, and art field trips. Along with learning about murals, Alissa and the student artists worked together to create their own designs based on their shared history at Trailblazers Academy, the school our youth attended before it lost its city funding.
Thanks to continued perseverance, we connected with The WellBuilt Company to paint our first mural at 819 East Main Street in Stamford. The mural was revealed on November 6th with a celebratory block party to reveal Stamford's latest mural!
